Casino Night Sonic Generations
I’ve heard of “timed exclusivity,” but seven years is a little overkill, isn’t it? Ah well, better late than never!
Sonic Generationsfinally hit Xbox One backward compatibility last week—with the added bonus of Xbox One X enhancements—and now it seems fans who hadn’t preordered the game on Xbox 360 seven years ago (or who don’t own it on Steam) can finally enjoy the complete experience at no additional charge.
The “Casino Nights Zone” DLC, a pinball table-themed side attraction to the main adventure inspired from the original Sonic the Hedgehog 2 stage, is now available to everyone as a free download on both Xbox 360 and Xbox One. The extra level was originally released as a preorder bonus for home consoles, but has never seen the light of day on Xbox Live Marketplace or PlayStation Store past the game’s original launch—until today in Microsoft’s case with Generations‘ Xbox One rerelease.
- Jan 28, 2017 I do not own Sonic Generations on PC, but on PS3. I did not preorder the game and therefore did not get the Casino Night DLC - its absence has always bothered me. I've considered getting the PC version SPECIFICLY for that for that reason. However, I noticed a thing on the store page saying that all current and future owners are gettingthe DLC for free. Does that apply only to PC copies.
- Sonic Generations 2: Past, Present, Future; Casino Night (Sonic Generations 2) Gadget Park (Sonic Generations 2) Firework Panic (Sonic Generations 2) Green Hill (Sonic Generations 2) Wrecking Ball (Sonic Generations 2) Fang the Sniper (Sonic Generations 2) (3DS).
- Play through the iconic ‘Casino Night’ Pinball stage inspired by ‘Sonic The Hedgehog 2’, and bring your screen to life with an exclusive theme – no Sonic Generations experience is complete without this exclusive content!
With that said, that still leaves PlayStation 3 owners of the game in the dark, as no word of Casino Nights’ relaunch has turned up Sony-side as of yet.
Casino Night Zone DLC Hot Sonic Generations Xbox 360 Xbox One. Unparalleled Canadian greatness! Jeffrey is a writer for TSS and Gamnesia. Published on Nov 1, 2011 My first go at the Casino Night stage DLC for Sonic Generations. Try it as both Modern and Classic, and it's fun. Pinball straight-up, but enough interesting aspects to.
So either SEGA is starting to check off my personal wishlist piece by piece, or they’re… well, okay, they’re just exercising common sense at this point.
